What are your hours?
Monday through Friday 7:30 - 4:30 pm, and Saturday 8:00 - 12:00.
Are you open any evenings?
No, we are not.
What types of products do you carry?
We deal in building materials including: lumber, plywood, pressure treated lumber, engineered lumber, TJI ® I-joists, Microllams, western red cedar, redwood, dimensional pine, oak and poplar boards, stair rail parts, composite decking, composite railing, interior and exterior doors, Andersen® windows, doors and storm doors, door hardware, as well as wood and fiber cement sidings. We also manufacture our own stairs, door units, and trusses.
Is there an advantage to using your stairs?
Yes there is. We build our stairs in a controlled environment using routed stringers with glue blocks and wedges, for a strong, quiet set of stairs. Our stairs save your contractor/trimmer time and speed up the construction process. The average set of stairs takes a week to be built in our shop. We can build closed box stairs, open stairs, or mixed sets with ease. We can also build curved or flaired stairs for a unique focal point in your home. Do you want them made out of a special wood? Just ask us. We have made stairs in the past out of oak, pine, cedar, redwood, Douglas fir, pressure treated pine, mahogany, black walnut, ipé, maple, hickory, and bamboo.
Do you deliver?
Yes we do. If we receive an order by noon on a given day, we can usually deliver the material to you the next business day.
Is there a delivery charge?
For orders of $75.00 or more, within the greater Monroe County area, there is no delivery charge. For orders less than $75.00, we do charge a $30.00 delivery fee.
What if I live outside Monroe County?
The delivery charges vary with the distance outside Monroe County. Please feel free to call either of our two offices to check the delivery charge.
Can I specify when my order is delivered?
In most cases, we will deliver your order on the day you specify. Exact times for deliveries are a little harder to predict and guarantee. We will try to meet your delivery needs as best we can.
Do you offer credit accounts?
Yes we do. Simply fill out a credit application, available from either yard, and our Credit Manager will get back to you within a few days.
Do I have to be a builder or contractor to have an account?
No, you do not. Many homeowners have accounts with us.
Do you do blueprint take-offs?
Absolutely! Bring us in a plan and we can provide a list of materials for framing lumber, engineered floors, trusses, wood and fiber cement sidings, doors, windows, stairs, interior trim, and hardware. We do not charge for this service.
Do you have someone who can measure my jobs?
Yes we do. We have our outside sales staff, with decades of experience, that can measure you interior trim jobs, stairs, rail parts, even replacement windows.
What if I need help with engineered wood products and trusses?
We can help with that too. We have dedicated staff who specialize in engineered lumber and trusses, and can answer just about any question. And since we manufacture our own trusses, you are not dealing with a middle man, you are dealing with the manufacturer.
What if I have material left over from my job, can I return it?
Any stock material, in good, re-saleable condition, in the original packaging, may be returned for credit. If we pick up the returned material, we do charge a 15% restocking fee.
How do you handle special orders?
We stock a lot of material for building your addition or home or apartment building. We however, do not stock everything, but we have suppliers that stock just about everything we don't. Special orders are not a problem. We love a challenge, and will try to the best of our ability to find the material you are looking for.
What do I do if my order was delivered damaged?
We work hard to avoid shipping damage, but sometimes accidents happen and damage occurs. As soon as you notice any damage, let us know right away. We will do our best to replace the material as quickly as possible.
